BarCamp Cameroun 2e Edition

Un Barcamp est une rencontre, une non-conférence née du désir qu'on eu de braves gens de partager et d'apprendre dans un environnement libre. C'est un moment de discussions, de démonstrations et d'interaction entre les participants.

Le 1er Barcamp au Cameroun a eu lieu le 07 Novembre 2009 à Douala, avec la participation de plus de 250 personnes ! Vu le succès, nous avons décidé d'organiser dès que possible, une 2e édition.

Celle ci se tiendra au Djeuga Palace Hotel à Yaounde, le 12 Juin 2010 de 9 heures à 17 heures.

Les principaux sponsors de l'événement seront Google et Ringo qui ont contribué efficacement à la future tenue de l'événement.

Le jour de l'événement, nous commencerons les enregistrements dès 08h30, il serait donc souhaitable pour vous d'arriver vers 09h00 ou plus tôt afin que nous puissions lancer la première session de travail à 09h30.

Tous ceux qui voudront venir beaucoup plus tôt pour nous aider à préparer la journée seront les bienvenues.

Comme à toutes les rencontres IT, le code vestimentaire sera décontracté, jeans et t-shirts seront de sortis ! ne vous inquiétez pas, le plus important sera votre présence et ce que vous aurez à montrer.

Puisque Ringo nous fournira une connexion internet haut-débit, nous vous encourageons à venir avec vos laptop/smartphone/ipad afin d'être en ligne durant la journée. Prévoyez des rallonges, prises multiples si vous en avez. N'hésiter pas à emporter avec vous vos appareils photos et camera pour couvrir l'événement.

2nd Edition of BarCamp Cameroon

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos, and interaction from attendees.

The first first BarCamp in Cameroon was held on November 7, 2009 in Douala and after its success with more than 250 participants, the consensus was to hold a second edition as soon as possible.

The 2nd edition of BarCamp Cameroon will be held in the Djeuga Palace Hotel in Yaoundé on the 12th of June 2010 from 9am to 5pm.

The headline sponsors for the event will be Google and Ringo who have significantly contributed to the cost of the event.

Registration will be open from 08:30, so please try and arrive by 09:00 or earlier so that we can start on time.  The first session will start at 09:30.

Volunteers to come earlier to help setup are more than welcome.

As this is an IT event the dress code for the event is casual, jeans etc. are fine. The important thing is that you come prepared to present and to take part.

As Ringo is providing fast Internet we encourage all participants to bring their laptop/smartphone/ipad and be online during the event, but please try and bring your own power strip if you have one as we have limited sockets. If you have a camera, bring it to capture this exciting day.
